COOL NYC BUILDING COLLAPSE

My husband who is a news videographer, caught this building collapse. Shot May 5, 1997 at 1016 Avenue Of The Americas in midtown Manhattan. It was a 6 alarm fire which suspended the F&D subway lines. The building was a 5 story brick building and the fire started in the basement of "Make 10" store which sold shoes. Although the collapse was a surprise, no one was hurt.
