How to make LEROY's Origami Chrysanthemum Icosahedron Kusudama

If you want to make an origami icosahedron I would recommend this one the "Chrysanthemum" kusudama instead of the one by Carmen Sprung as shown by Origaminut and Mark Rowe. It is just as much work but I think this one looks much better. Any how have a look at both and judge for yourself!!

Looks like an orange football ... wonder why that is ;-D

You can do a lot of different things with the modules both in appearance as well as locking them together. Making it without glue was a hassle since I was not able to fully lock the last module. Not that it matters since it is still strong enough to use it as football :-D As you can see when you click the diagram link below, mine looks more flowers-ish than the original shown there. Simply by adding a bit of curl to the modules... ;-)
Diagram http://digilander.libero.it/modulandia/modelli_dod.htm
Music by www.pacdv.com/sounds/Title:Collection of Modular Origami Polyhedrals Description:3D Geometric Modular Origami constructed by Mark Rowe

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a common pathogen - virtually everyone is infected at one point in their lives - that can cause mononucleosis (or "mono") and two rare forms of cancer. Scientists at the medical school have discovered a protein that is essential for the assembly of the virus, an important advance that might help researchers design new antiviral drugs to treat EBV and other related ...

NIH Scientists See Retrovirus Capsid Pentamer for First Time (National Institutes of Health)
For the first time, scientists can see an elusive protein that forms part of the shell of a retrovirus—a finding that may help in the development of therapies to disrupt the functioning of retroviruses, which include the HIV/AIDS virus.

Discovery of ionic elemental crystal against chemical intuition (EurekAlert!)
An ETH Zurich researcher has developed a computational method for predicting the structure of materials. He used it to solve the structure of a newly synthesized form of pure boron that displays some unusual physical properties and brings a surprise: it is partially ionic.
