(NECN) - A Connecticut woman is in the hospital Tuesday morning after a chimpanzee attack. The incident happened at the Stamford home where the primate was kept as a pet. The victim suffered serious facial injuries before the animal was shot to death by local police. The chimp's owner also reportedly stabbed him with a butcher knife after calling 9-1-1.
