The most interesting thing about this snake is that it had only one bead for its rattle. This was very dangerous because it was stretched across the trail as I approached shaking its "rattle" however there was no sound, lucky I saw it just as I was about to step right on it. We photographed it for a while and left it go on its way. This is my second encounter this year with Rattlers.
