Before talking about the lakers, I would like to take a minute to mention the great game by carmelo anthony. Carmelo finished the game with 39 points (14-20) from the field. (4-5) from 3 pt land and (7-8) from free throw line. he also added 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 block shot. he was outstanding. HE gave kobe lots of trouble on the offensive end. He put kobe in the post and went to work. He had a great great game.
Lakers started another game 1 slow at home. Nuggets had 13 points lead in the first quarter and the crowd was quiet. Lakers were able to come back in the second quarter to finish the half up by 1 point. Nuggets had 7 points lead in the fourth quarter then kobe bryant took over the game. He scored 18 out of his 40 points in the fourth quarter. He made all the 6 free throws down the cutch and grabbed the last rebound to secure the game.
It was a very fun game to watch. The referres were not consistent at all. They gave the nuggets lost of calls in the first half. Nuggets missed tons of free throws the outcome would have probably been different if they made their free throws.
Anyways, good game 1 win for the lakers at home.
