Why milk is white
Now there's a question I have been pondering for long. Very long indeed, as it goes back to one of those unresolved questions from my childhood days. Most of them have been answered by now (many years later but I won't tell you how many!) - but this one stuck: Why is milk white? It seems like there must be an obvious answer, such as why is the sky blue or why is the sea green. Well, sometime's the sea is blue or grey. Or even azul, in the Carribean...but let's not get side-tracked. I think that the reason milk is white is because white looks fresh and clean to us. So that makes it look yummy and tasty and a good thing to feed our babies. So we give it to them, not knowing that it's also loaded with good stuff such as proteins and vitamins. So, nature has fooled us again - and now you know why milk is white.
